Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information IndiaCoins.info collects and how it is used. We try to collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

• Price suggestions: When you submit a suggestion, we store the coin, grade, suggested price, and the optional source link and note you enter. Please do not include personal details in the note.
• Anti-abuse data: To limit spam, we create a hashed (scrambled) value from your IP address and store that instead of the address itself. We use it only to count how many suggestions come from one visitor in an hour.
• Server logs: Our hosting providers may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and operation.

What we do not do

• We do not require accounts or ask for your name.
• At the time of writing, the site does not use advertising or analytics trackers and does not set tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy.
• We do not sell your data.

How information is used

Submitted suggestions are used to review and update catalogue prices. Hashed IP values are used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

Who handles data

The site is hosted with third-party providers, and its database is run on Supabase. These providers process data on our behalf to run the service.

Retention

Suggestions and anti-abuse values are kept for as long as needed to run and moderate the catalogue, and may be deleted afterwards.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete or correct a suggestion you made by emailing [email protected] with details of the coin and approximate time. We aim to handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
